I'm trying to figure out how you did this. The background looks like you did kind of a wash of the blues. How were you able to leave the white areas so sharply defined? Did you just paint up close around the borders of your drawing? I'm just surprised the paint didn't bleed into the white space. You did an amazing job of blending those background colors without bleeding into the white space.
The overall impact is just stunning. I love all the details!
