Wow, feathers really are more amazing on birds than just by themselves. I have a little fluffy baby parrot chick I'm bringing up at the moment, and his pin-feathers and fluff are just amazing. It's wonderful to watch them come through his pink skin and see them grow!

Geninne, have you seen this blog: stillblog.net ? She reminds me of you--she takes still life photographs of the things she finds on walks and around her house--great images of birds, bones, stones, seeds, flowers, etc.

Being an avid bird watcher/lister, feathers or anything related to birds gets my attention. I'm waiting for a book titled simply: Feathers by a field biologist who gives the whole history/mystery of feathers. Can't wait to get my copy which has been delayed because of the terrible Hurricane Sandy's devastation of the east coast of the USA...
