As of yesterday we are the proud owners of this little piece of land with 24 grown oak trees. We hope to start construction before the summer ends. Manolo says we'll be moving in Casa 6 in February 2013! Here's a peak of some of his preliminary sketches of our future house.
I guess I am late to the party...Manolo designs and builds houses that you get to live in until they are sold and then it's time to move to the next work in progress? And you create amazing beautiful art from where ever you can set up a studio and sell it online?
You guys are seriously cool and I envy your lifestyle.
All the best, Jules Means, Beverly, MA USA
Yeah, I'm also a new fan. How does this work? It sounds like way fun!!
I'm lush green with envy!
Looks like another winner of a house! Enjoy the process, and those gorgeous oak trees :)
Another awesome house! And we'll all enjoy the fun of seeing the progress without all the hard work - how lucky can we get?
cannot wait to see how it turns out...you are lucky to have such a creative sidekick...oh well, so is he! :)
how wonderful! I can't wait to see how things progress!
What a beautiful looking piece of land. It has such a special feel to it. Very atmospheric. Can't wait to see Casa 6! How exciting!

I love seeing your beautiful houses, interior decoration and landscape in Mexico. It's fascinating! I love your artwork too of course!
way to live your dream... how amazing to be able to build your own home. I think mine would just be a creative space and everything else around it!!!! Cant wait to see how it grows. xx
How exciting!!! I've spent a fair amount of time in Mexico but have never seen an oak tree there. Though I may not have been looking. ;) What a beautiful spot!!!
That indeed sounds like a wonderful way of life. Though maybe not without stress.. Does he build environmentally-friendly? Or just.. creating stuff.?
I think we'd all love to hear more about that! A wonderful place too!
That is going to be such a wonderful home! Love the forest.
hello, we are in Brazil, South America and admire your blog.
Congratulations on the acquisition and successful project. Does a house "green"? sustainable? The place is beautiful!
Within a matter sustainable architecture sending an article about a project of Brazilian university students and that will be competing for prizes.
