Boing!
This cute guy has been visiting me several times a day since we moved here.
Looks like he wants me to invite him in! I just had to add the boings ;-)
I've looked in all my guides to see what kind of birdie he is but I haven't had any luck identifying him. Will you help me?
***Update: Hurray! He's a Mexican Junco :-)

you have incredible feeling with bird.Do you ask to the people they live in this house before, it's possible they known him..!
My juncos don't go boing! (But then, neither do my beans.)
What a funny little thing to watch! My guess is that he's male and he sees his reflection in your glass and he thinks there's ANOTHER male in his territory.

He probably knows your reputation and that's his little way of saying, "Paint ME, paint ME!" ;)
(Love the boings!)
That is hilarious! It's as if he's too short to see something so he keeps jumping up and down trying to get at the right angle. So cute! Best wishes, Tammy
Don't know if you remember the post at 'Tiny Aviary' with the dark eyed junko on New Years Eve? I think it was doing a similar thing? I like the new friend, maybe he was rewarded for such tricks previously?
You just put a much needed smile on my face today! We get the Oregon Juncos here over the winter and I just love them... but they don't bounce! :)
That's adorable! What a funny little jumping guy!
great clip :) yours are amazing similar in appearance and voice to the juncos here in alaska! except for the boing-ing ;)
Ha, good you knów : I already wanted to suggest "boing-bird" ;-)
It might be he sees himself reflected in the window, thinking it's a rival !!! I've seen several times blackbirds doing so to the reflection of themselves, one even in the wheel of a car !
I think he likes you Geninne.
The boings made my day!
Thank you!
ha ha ha that is hilarious! How wonderful to have all that boing going on in your day :) Love it!
I too wonder if he had a relationship with the previous tenants. Maybe he is drawn to all the pictures of your birds? Either way, he is too cute for words.
ah this is brilliant, I have never seen a bird go boing like that! Such a sweet treat to have this little chap at your window. I think he might want you to paint him!
Too funny! And super cute too!
How cute is he?! I wonder if there are small bugs against the window that he is jumping up to eat? In any case, isn't it amazing how much time we can spend watching the birds at our window?! Today, I was thrilled with an elusive male oriole coming and discovering our backyard bird bath. He stopped for a quick bath. I hope he will be back!

Have a enormous smile on my face after seeing this video. What a gorgeous little bird - the boings made me laugh out loud! He obviously likes you.
Must tell you that I was out in Mornington(Victoria,Australia) yesterday ; and saw some beautiful notecards with your art designs on them. Like the idea of you designing them in Mexico and them arriving over here.
Oh, how cute! And funny too! :-)
Thanks for the july desktop calender.. Haha you made me laugh out loud with the 'boings'. Cute bird! I would love to have a window view like that! Beautiful!
OMG, the boings killed me. ROFL.
That is so cute! He knows you are a bird lover!

Dear Geninne, I just saw your wonderful birds on the cover of the Italian edition of a book! Oh I was so excited, I immediately recognized your drawings! I took a picture of the book :) https://picasaweb.google.com/105202513466307557886/Geninne?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCJ_yt8KM78eJZQ&feat=directlink
Wish you the best of days!
The "boings" cracked me up! I could watch this over and over!
That was TOO funny!! ;D Thanks for posting this. Love his little song in between boing-ing!
I love your junco. We have them here on the central coast in California in the summer too. Here is a link to a website doing research on juncos with some interesting info: http://www.indiana.edu/~kettlab/fieldsites.html#VA. Thanks for filming this little guy! BTW, he sings the same song our juncos sing.
Hey =) I know you identified it as a Mexican Junco but does it have it yellow eyes or black? If it has yellow eyes, it is indeed a Mexican Junco. If it has dark eyes, it is a dark-eyed Junco.
What an adorable little fella. I have them come all the time and they love to be silly for sure! Thanks for sharing this video!
How cute!!!
But I had to laugh about the noise, when Turbo sratched himself. :-))
