String & Button
I spent yesterday afternoon recycling some more of my discarded prints
into small envelopes with string & button closures.
I used a few pretty blue eyelets I had bought last summer
when I visited my sweet friend Margie in Toronto.
I bought the little craft hammer, the eyelet setting tool & tiny hole punch
at the same craft supply chain (Michaels).
More recycling I've done with my discarded prints here, here & here.

Wow, I wouldn't have discarded those prints .... ;-)
Love the closures ! (have them on my old "Karisma" colour pencil box !)
How wonderful these are! Waste not, want not!
Thanks for sharing this idea ☺
What a beautiful idea! Thanks for sharing xx
You have some lovely interesting ideas here. I particularly like how some thing that was originally flat becomes 3 dimensional. You have inspired me to have a go at recycling some of my watercolours!
your way of recycling is the bestest
Es una idea genial! Gracias por compartirla aquí. Por cierto, tienes la plantilla para hacer los sobres? Me encantaría hacerlos con mis dibujos también. Un abrazo!
That is such a great idea, I love it! So pretty.
As always.. a brilliant idea :)
Geninne, how about making a giveway of those gems? Please. And radomly take my name out of the hat...
Great, lovely, beautiful, and everything else, as usual.
Leave it to you to take a simple utilitarian object the would usually get shoved in a drawer into something one would want to display because it's beautiful.
I love how you create something everyday and that you share your creativity with us.

fantastic idea!
they're lovely.
Those are your discards?! They are beautiful. What a great way to use them -- even though I'd frame them.
Fabulous, I have a large draw with great old prints that now have a new life. Thanks.
YOU CREATE SUCH BEAUTY!!! Today is March 30th and I've just been scrolling.....scrolling.... my eyes drinking in all this lovely beauty. THANK YOU for this blog, it inspires and soothes and rejuvenates. I love just looking at all of your creative creations!!! I've not done art in so long, and I'm in the busy season of toddlerhood and expecting another, but today after viewing your blog I've decided it's ESSENTIAL for me and my 2 yr old to just get out the colors, all the beauty colors, and just MAKE SOMETHING! (I usually just help her, but today I'm going to make something of my own!).
Your style is so unique, I just love it. I hope to one day find my own 'art voice' down the road, but for now I will just keep learning and creating!!!
A piece of art!
