Diary page from the summer of 1993.
I can't believe this is almost 20 years old and I still draw those same flowers.
I hadn't discovered watercolor yet and always had my HUGE box
of soft core Prismacolor pencils with me.
I started using watercolors in the beginning of 1994 and never looked back :-)
I love knowing this about you Geninne! I switched to watercolours in the early 90s too. I had only painted in oils previously but really found myself in watercolours. I launched my greeting card company in 1993!
I love all of the dots around your flowers. It makes me think of the detail you add to your current birds.
Reflection is always fun, isn't it?
: )
It just shows we evolve but keep what's best of us. Dots are timeless... Your blog just gives me a smile with all the color. So ready for winter to end here in Seattle. thanks!
Love the sun/moon!
LOVELY...
I had the Prismacolor 60 box around that time, and drew quite the masterpieces with them. I picked up watercolour in 1996. I love seeing you are still doing the same flowers!
Beautiful! Lovely blog; I'm a new follower!
Best,
Anne ♥♥
Beautiful details. I love seeing how things evolve!
such a wonderful piece of history! very fun to see!
Me has puesto la carne de gallina! Ese junio dejé mi querida Barcelona y me fui a vivir a New York. Cuantas emociones!
I love having a peek into your artistic past. Lovely!
It's lovely to look back like this, and nice to discover some of the same traits going on, but how you have come on, as all artists do. It makes me want to look back at my old greeting cards, I'd been working 12 years doing them at this point. I shall have to fish some out, bet they look terrible :)
Wow, you were so good even 20 years ago!
that's so nice to look back on your work and designs!
very sweet Geninne!
Bueno, ni las flores ni tu letra han cambiado! Me encanta!
