Do you fill them? I have a few sketchbooks, but none are full... 8*)
And, I just saw the art for the postcard I got with my Friends print!!!!
At first I didn't believe I saw it...but the postcard is up on my wall right above my computer so I looked up and there it was!!
That was fun!! Thanks!! 8*)

Are they themed, or do you randomly select which one you will work in? I never used to collect sketchbooks because I just didn't use them, but lately I've been going a little nuts with the ones I have. I've got three going (which is a lot for me) and ideas for a fourth. :)
Someone pinned this on Pinterest and I knew right away it was your work! So inspiring. You make me want to pick up my own sketchbook again!

This is such a great post! I've been journaling since I was in high school and have lots of them too. I love it. It's a fun way to see how much you've grown.

notebooks are my weakness to haha :D that's why I make them and try new techniques all the time.. I'm obsessed with them!! :D
I don't remember if you had the word identification before when posting comments, but now you have and it's really annoying because it's a new system and it's really hard to see the words o.O

Notebooks, sketchbooks -- both are a weakness for me. Although I'll admit that the notebooks have a LOT more entries than the sketchbooks.

Oh so nice to see your sketch books. Everyone should kepp sketchbooks and use them. Lots of young artists only use the computer and it's so important to draw and sketch! Yours are beautiful.

I'm the same way! I have a million sketchbooks and each one is used for something different. Some are for planning, one for collaging, some for little series that I'm working on. Some are actually used for finished pieces. And then I just keep buying more.

Inspiring! What a good idea to look at the big picture made from small pictures across space and time. Do you finish one book before starting another? Sometimes, I come across a new book and can't resist beginning anew with pages left blank in the old.
*sigh* I love sketchbooks. And flipping trough other people's sketchbooks. There is something very personal about them. Intimate. Mine are way messier than yours. :)
I was once told in order to draw, you must draw, in order to paint you must paint and in order to write you must write. Do what you love and do it often. It is evident in your sketchbooks that you are doing just this. Thank you so much for sharing these.

There is a saying "there is a method to this madness" only those understand artists would not say MADNESS but SANITY!@!! It's kind of like a walk down memory lane, like your dad's trinket box. Thanks for sharing!

I always thought I had a good imagination, but I find myself lacking in so many ways now I am looking at peoples blogs. I could never see any point in drawing just for the sake of drawing. I always felt I had to have an end result. I now have found that I have my sketch book going and I have had it for so many years barely touched. Now I am enjoying it. Thank you and so many other wonderful bloggers for waking me up
