Digital collage inspired by my beautiful collection of seaweed prints from the 1800s.
My Sticky Notes & Pocket Planner at the Fashion Valley Anthropologie store in San Diego when we visited last October. Seeing my birdies "in the wild" is always very exciting :-)
I get all excitd when i see your birdies in the wild too. I feel l ike picking things up and saying " i know her"... Even though i don't really. It must be so exciting for you every time. Lovel your sea art.
Really beautiful work. Congratulations. I'm Spanish and I follow your blog. I also love designing things. This is my URL: http://www.eriselblog.blogspot.com/
I love those book prints and the fact that some are half finished. Your artwork is delightful too, it's always so exciting to see your own work 'live' out in the real world.
Even though you have had many of your designs used commercially, it must be a thrill each time you see them on sale in public. If it were me, I'd do a little subdued "happy dance" any time I would see my work on display and for sale in a store! Continued success! You deserve it!
I like seeing your stuff on shelves too! Its exciting. I always end up picking it up and admiring it.
I just started a series of paintings that has an ocean theme. Its inspired by a description of New York harbor teaming with sea life way back when. Did you know they used to have whales?
Magical illustrations, well done! Something really soft and warm about them, like a sense of familiarity and a feeling of childhood - both of which in the best way possible.
Love the digi illo and yes your birdies are making their way around - I just spied that very same planner (which I'm happy to say I love + have a copy of) in a DIY magazine propped up in a metal tote!
i so love your digital collage!! Those little jellyfish are fantastic! And i so wish i were closer to the Anthropologie store in San Diego - to see your work up close. Thanks for sharing! xoxo
Hi Geninne, I've been following your blog for a couple of months now and really enjoy your work. Thanks for the calendar pages - love them : ) I also wanted to let you know that I bought your planner at an Anthropologie in San Jose, CA. I knew the instant I saw them that I recognized those birdies! Dee
Those old illustrations are marvelous aren't they? I get all gaga over Ernst Haeckel's illustrations.
Your work just exudes happiness. Love the jellyfish, especially.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful, missing good ole San Diego. Moved over to the Bay Area recently.
I think I would get all giddy to see my things "out there" too! Your work is so inspiring! Happy day!
The vintage prints are so lovely and delicate and I like your modern 'Geninne' take on them.
