Cactus Wrens
Micron pen drawing inspired by a recent visit to the Charco del Ingenio Natural Reserve in San Miguel de Allende where I spotted that beautiful cactus wren
& got savagely devoured by a hungry mob of mosquitoes.
*Note to self: remember to put on repellent the next time!

(nasty, those mozzies)
So beautiful, wren's are my favourite bird :)
This is lovely. You have a really unique style =) x
Beautiful!!
i love your drawings...i have to admit though, they make my fingers ache a little seeing all the detail haha. but so beautiful!
Those are both so gorgeous. I love their sweet simplicity. I never knew there was such a thing as a cactus wren. We put a wren house out every year in front of our house and I enjoy their song so much.
fantastic shot of the cactus wren! and the drawing has so many details
Beautiful - both the drawing and photo! :-)
This drawing is amazing! I've seen House, Carolina and Canyon Wrens, but not a Cactus Wren. Is there song as pretty as a Canyon Wren's?
fantastic drawing! :)
so beautiful!!!
Just love this drawing you are so talented .... the wren landed on the right spot no thorns!!! Yep never leave the house without repellent .... I live in the woods and the south ..... they even try to hitch a ride in the car some days!!!
All their drawings are magnificent. Congratulations on the beautiful work.
what an amazing photo opportunity and of course an equally fantastic drawing

Love your new drawing - can't wait to see what you and Arounna are hatching. FYI, the cactus wren is the largest of the wren family and it is the state bird of Arizona.
