Big Sur
I loved:
-all the different shades of blue
-being in & out of the fog
-the smell of the ocean & forest together
-the crisp morning air
-the silly sound the sea lions make
-the fresh baked goods at Big Sur Bakery
-the perfect cappuccino
-being with my family at such a wondrous place

fabulous photos...you've brought lots of good memories back to me today...my husband and I took that beautiful drive from San Diego to San Francisco about 5 years ago! :)

Me encantan las fotografías, pero sobre todo, me gusta la forma en que tratas el color. Yo ahora estoy trabajando sólo con papel y linóleo, sin tintas. Queda muy sobrio, pero en breve necesitaré entrar de nuevo en contacto con los colores y cambiaré, no puedeo alejarme mucho de ellos.

Funny how you loved the fog. As a child, I couldn't wait to become an adult and move away from the fog. It was depressing how it would roll in, then burn off, and then roll back in again. As soon as I graduated from college, I moved to sunny, warm and humid Puerto Vallarta. I felt like my body finally defrosted. :)
Everyone's said it already but it really does look so beautiful. I hope we'll be able to go one day.
I didn't know you were going there. My two favourite places, SF and Big Sur. My family stayed in Big Sur and Carmel every summer growing up and I lived and went to Uni is SF. I miss both places intently and recently reread Jack Kerouac's "Big Sur" to invoke memories of the place. Your images are wonderful, they happily take me home. Thanks, Jx
