The eyes are absolutely stunning, they just literally jump out at you...and the birds about your head just signifies for me that you must be a very special kind soul...reminds me so of that scene in Cinderella when all of the birds were flying about her while she was tidying up her room after waking...they just loved her..as your birds love you!!!!

It's going to look gorgeous.. nothing wrong with a bit of idealization! I did some self portraits last week and wished I had omitted a few wrinkles and given myself a bit of a facelift :)

This is lovely!
I've been doing a few self-portraits lately and it is hard to share them. It shows your insides and can feel narcissistic at times (to me), but I know it's a valuable tool for self exploration.

I love your eyes in your self-portrait. Just as I love how the sensitive way you draw eyes gives your birdies life and personality (in all of your paintings). From my perspective? 44...oh so young and so many beautiful years ahead of you. Enjoy.

First I was thinking, Oh she's so young, I didn't realize that :) 44 is still young though. I have my 45th birthday in about 4 weeks. One day we can have a joint birthday party.
Is my cactus a prickley pear or does it just look the same? I took it in spain, it was a "roadkill". How does the fruit taste. Too many questions? Just ignore them.
This is simply stunning. I can not wait to see how this turns out!
