The photo is a little animation, if you look at it for a little while you'll see the box open with all it's contents (brass weights) :) I got the wooden box for my 13 yrs antique lover son...he LOVED it! Hugs Barb!
You've got the eye, as usual! Wow, I never find things like that when I look for them. Beautiful. And the animation is extremely clever! Are you going to tell us how you accomplished that? Love it!
I came across your lovely work while searching the web yesterday.
I am a fiber artist currently writing a book on surface design techniques for Storey Publishing in North Adams, MA USA. Publication is scheduled for early 2013
My hope for the book is to feature the work of about 12 artists other then myself whose work represents some of the techniques.
I will have a chapter on carving erasers, speedy cut, Mastercraft etc. I am wondering if you would have an interest in having one of your pieces that features the use of your beautiful hand carved stamps in my book.
The piece would have to be on fabric and preferably using textile paints if possible. Although I will be talking a bit about stamp pads as well.
Here are my web sites so you can get an idea of who I am as well.
the animation is fun! i love photographing my flea market finds... so much that i turned it into a business. the wooden box is really pretty, and i love the blues and reds in your photo.
OH, I'm so thrilled to see you are visitng our beautiful Toronto. And I love the treasures you found at the market. It encourages me to get down to there again.
Hope you enjoyed our city. It is like visiting the world.
Love your artwork. I am just a novice and you inspire me. Thanks Shelley

I look forward to hearing from, but would of course understand if this is not of interest to you, whatever the reason.
All the best,

PS I have 3 sons and 2 full size adorable collies! I believe we have much in common.
