Bits of Flora

Bits of flora
Little set of stamps I carved this morning.
With the usual: Staedtler MasterCarve rubber stamp carving block,
Speedball linoleum cutter and my favorite ink pads.

These are very, very cool! And you are very clever. I don't see anything about an Etsy shop. Do you sell your stamps? If not, might be something to think about.

So pretty, pretty. I don't know what I like more: the carved stamps or the white imprints.

Your site inspired me to go to dickblick and buy myself some carving block (mine is battleship grey, should have bought white) and linoleium cutter. I will start carving tonight after seeing your exquisite carvings...mine won't be fancy but just want to give it a try. Re imprints, they seem hand drawn and not stamped if I am right? By the way, I have the same white acrylic ink. It doesn't come out stark white, it's quite faint. Is that because of background color of the paper? I hope you can respond to my query if you get a minute...I would REALLY appreciate that. Please keep inspiring me every day, I just love coming to your blog first thing in the morning!

do you wash your stamps after using them...or just let the ink dry? they always look freshly inked in your photos (maybe just for the purpose of the photo) and i was just curious? would love virtual 'permission' not to wash these guys every time. ugh. :)

Really lovely, I will echo all that has been said above me!

I have a friend that carves stamps and I'm envious of both of your talents! It's a fun process to watch!
