I followed you on this one, Geninne. I actually prepped a journal as well and then wrote in it as the days went by. I had to work really hard to not compare my "Ugly Journal" to yours. Really hard. But I can not thank you enough for the lessons it taught me. Thank you, thank you.
I love this one, and the cactus is beautiful! what did you use to make the lines, ink or a pen? I'm with The Muse....I wish I could do something like this, since I do keep a journal, but I'm terrified of messing up the journal, or messing up one of the pages.....watercolor is so unpredictable! But I love your work!
the cactus is wonderful...and love that you incorporate historical events and your little birthday designs...and...and...and...OH SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thanks for sharing Geninne. HUGS Char
Thank you for inspiring me in so many ways Geninne. This week I created my own journal and as I was waiting in line to have it bound what did I see on the counter but your beautiful birds on the cover of 'Posh Easy Crosswords'. I love the synchronicity of blogging!
OOOOooo, your journal pages are my absolute favorite part of your blog, it makes me smile that you choose to share them with everyone. You journaling inspires me to start my own, i like the way you take the time to sit down and take time for yourself to do this and act of keep a journal without having to write out personal feelings. This makes journaling more accessable and less intimidating for me. thank you!
Geninne, you are so incredibly talented! I absolutely love your blog. I wished you were a little closer to where I live - I'm in Alberta, Canada. I am inspired now to play with my paints and brushes more! Thank you!
I love the way you've divided your pages but not stuck to staying within the lines. Do you mark the sections first or as you go. Are you painting with gouache when the lines don't show through the painted object. This is the best calendar I have seen in a journal yet! I love it.
How active you are !
And colourfully busy !
C'est stimulant...
Oui j'aime.
When I look back over your work it seems as though your hand has evolved and your work is more refined. Do you think?
Your journal pages look like a party!!!

I can not tell you how inspired I always am by these journal pages. Do you paint straight onto the pages? Do you use watercolor paper?
