Fee Fi Faux Fun
Had lots of fun today making a faux butterfly specimen box
with watercolor, paper, bookboard and a couple of pins.
A perfect addition to our school/studio shelves :)

Con este post me recordaste mi época de estudiante y ayer rescaté del fondo de un armario de casa dos cajas entomológicas: una con mariposas y otra con escarabajos, libélilas y demás especímenes, que guardo como un tesoro y que voy a colgar en el estudio en cuanto terminemos de redecorarlo.
Por cierto, la composición final es muy bonita. Te felicito.

We went to the best bug museum last summer and I was thinking of a project for the kids to recreate some of what they saw there. This is so perfect!

That is really cool! I am a collector at heart, and so is my son, but I can't stomach the idea of pinning up a bunch of dead bugs in the house. This would be a great alternative.
