#6 looks like a house finch, and #8 I think is an Inca dove. Not sure about others.
Oh Im learning bird ID at the moment but I have only got as far as Wetland birds so Im afraid I dont know any of them. Although Im not even sure if we have them here in Ireland. Not much use am I! :)

Well, I don't know what they are, but they are gorgeous.
And also I'm jealous of your sunny weather, as it has been grey and rainy here in England.
#3 looks like a type of sparrow, but I'm not sure which one. #4 is a curve-billed thrasher.

#1 is an American Kestrel and #5 looks a bit like a shrike, though I'm not sure.
#8 is an Inca Dove and I'll have to hit the books for the others. Wonderful inspiration for you!
I agree #1 is a Kestral. #2 could possibly be an Oriel. #6 looks like a Purple Finch. What a fun game and a great day bird watching for you!
I think # 7 is a Vermilion Flycatcher.
This is fun! Here's my guesses..
1 - American Kestrel (male)
4 - Brown Thrasher
6 - young male Summer Tanager or Red Crossbill (can't see bill clearly) or Purple Finch
7 - Vermilion Flycatcher
Mom and Dad received a cool Wingscapes camera from our cat for Christmas...so we love birdies! How about 1- American Kestrel, 2-Black headed oriole 3-song sparrow, 4- Curved bill Thrasher 6-house finch, 8 the Inca Dove doing what all Doves do!! Fun photos.

#2 i think it is a cabecitanegra (carduelis magellanica)# 6 looks like a canary and #7 is a Churrinche(Pyrocephalus rubinus).. love your blog. have a grat day atte.arely

I love the vermillion flycatcher (#7)! My husband bought me this (http://shop.lumadessa.com/collections/florafaunabirds/products/vermilion-flycatcher-silver-edition) print for christmas and i love it!

2. Lesser Goldfinch (i love these birds but hate the name "lesser") - in spanish Dominico Cabecinegro

Geninne, I have #4 (Curved Bill Thrashers) that live in my back yard in Tucson AZ. If you want to keep them around, just throw out some unsalted peanuts for them They are crazy about them. They are really fun to watch, getting the shells open with their beaks. I love your birds and your blog.
