Forever and Ever

Forever and Ever
Inspired by my turn of the century family photo mats.
Watercolor, acrylic in and pencil on handmade cotton paper. 9 x 12 inches.
Carlos Olivares Muñoz with matExperimenting with my family photos.
This dandy gentleman here is my maternal grandfather from Chile.

El dibujo de los pájaros es precioso y de un azul realmente alegre y la parte en blanco y negro que hace de marco parece estar hecha de encaje o tallada en madera. Es increíble que consigas esos dos efectos dibujando. Además, en mi opinión, queda muy bien con la foto de tu abuelo.

Muchísimas gracias por seguir compartiendo tu trabajo. No sabes cuánto bien haces con ello.

I found your blog a few months ago, and I continue to be amazed! These two paintings are beyond beautiful. The detail in your work is just gorgeous. I was looking at the frame you put around the paintings and the line work is so intricate and looks wonderful.

Hola Geninne, siempre paso por aquí a maravillarme por tus trabajos y nunca dejo un comentario por mi ingles que es muy malo, pero esta vez me dieron muchas ganas de hacerlo, sobre todo por que vi una palabra que me llamo mucho la atención, que es tu mención sobre tu abuelo Chileno y yo soy Chilena!! y no pude evitarlo, que curioso, a pesar de ser un pais pequeño, siempre alguien lo menciona.
Bueno es maravilloso lo que logras! sobre todo esos detalles hechos a mano como un tallado, precioso!!

What font are you using on your frames, in white? Do you do this lettering by hand? I'd love to see the whole alphabet in caps and smalls. I'm making a dove painting for a friend's new baby, Paloma, and would like to add a ribbon with her name. Many thx!
