Inspired by my turn of the century family photo mats. Watercolor, acrylic in and pencil on handmade cotton paper. 9 x 12 inches. Experimenting with my family photos. This dandy gentleman here is my maternal grandfather from Chile. I missed you guys!
I'm glad you are back. I'm a painter, too, but it's been mostly cold & rainy here in the Seattle area lately (not sunny & colorful), so I look to your site for a little cheer :-) Thanks for the kick-start, Geninne :-)
I've just finished 2 days of looking through every single one of your posts. I love your work! You've reminded me of many things I love. I walked around my apartment today with fresh eyes. Very inspiring!
Oh, Geninne, you were indeed missed. I thought of you while I was visiting Oaxaca. Not very close to you, I know, but closer than I usually am and in your home country. It was so inspiring to be there, with the color and pagentry of Dias de los Muertos and the warmth of the people. Welcome back.
¡Qué bien que has vuelto! ¡Bienvenida!
I found your blog a few months ago, and I continue to be amazed! These two paintings are beyond beautiful. The detail in your work is just gorgeous. I was looking at the frame you put around the paintings and the line work is so intricate and looks wonderful. I am glad to see you back again....understand that everyone needs a break once in awhile. Love your work!!!!
I love your drawings. You look like you are having so much fun. It makes me realize I haven't enjoyed drawing for a while now. I'm just good at it, so I keep doing it. How can I have fun again? Beth
What font are you using on your frames, in white? Do you do this lettering by hand? I'd love to see the whole alphabet in caps and smalls. I'm making a dove painting for a friend's new baby, Paloma, and would like to add a ribbon with her name. Many thx!
