The big news is...
...that the next time I set up my inspiration board it will be in a new town :)
I took time off to organize our things and get ready to move once again, whew!
We recently sold our beautiful home and we'll be moving to a rented place
while Manolo builds our next house starting January 2010.
We are moving to the outskirts of the beautiful colonial city of Queretaro,
located 160 miles northwest of Mexico City.
I'm really excited to share this new adventure with all of you.
I will probably re-open up my Etsy shop the first week of December
if I have the internet up and running at the new place.
We will be taking a one week vacation at the beach starting tomorrow
and I'll be blogging all about it from our destination.
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my previous post,
I'm so happy you liked those birdies!

Wow, that is exciting news! I agree with all the above comments...how do you leave your beautiful houses? Do you think that you guys will ever just build one that you stay in forever (or at least a decade)? I wish Manolo could come up to Montreal and build us a house! :)

Have a wonderful holiday at the beach with your family! I'm so looking forward to hearing about you new adventures and watching another beautiful space be built. Lots of love to you as you unpack and settle in. Can't wait to see how your inspiring surroundings will impact your future work.
It looks like a much drier climate than your current location, thus the aqueduct I guess. Very interesting. Can't wait to see photos of your new houses (rental and built). Good luck!
Good luck on your new adventure!
WOW! Another new home? I don't know how you guys do it but that's so exciting!!! Hope everything goes really smooth! Congratulations!!! XO
My dad lived in San Miguel de Allende a few years ago, and I had the chance to visit the area. Beautiful buildings in both towns. My dad actually got his MFA at the Art institute.
Good luck in the move and the coming new home :)
Wow that's a beautiful area! When I think Mexico now I won't only think of the beaches.
Wow, you'll be living 1 hour from where I live!! More adventures. Maybe you'll be making drawings of the beautiful acueducts? Can't wait and see!
Te deseo un mudanza tranquila.
Best wishes for a smooth move!
Felicidades Genine! Que los proyectos por venir sean bienaventurados. Un saludo y por aqui sigo leyendote y disrutando tu arte.
Saludos desde Ciudad de México
Congrats!
many congratulations! - I always hate the process of moving - but starting fresh in a new place and unpacking is so exhilarating - looking forward to your updates. Enjoy your vacation.
Que aventura! con ansia espero ver como el escritorio y su entorno empiezan a llenarse de nuevas imágenes, objetos y vida... Hace solo un rato oí una frase que me gustó mucho... acá te la dejó: "La casa protege al soñador"
Wow, what an amazing video! I've lived on the Texas/Mexico border for the past 8 years and it is such a dry and ugly place on both sides. Just a few months ago we drove down to Guanajuato city, San Miguel de Allende and surrounding areas and stayed with friends for a week. It was soooo beautiful! I didn't want to come home. After the dusty barreness of borderlife, it was so thrilling to experience the true beauty of Mexico! Just thinking about it gives me goose bumps! You are so blessed to live there!
Hello! I have a question -- what sort of wood / stain is that for the shelf on your desk? I absolutely love it and would like to incorporate it into my new home.. =) Good luck on the move!

After drooling over the pictures of your homes....I know your next home will be wonderful & beautiful too. Congratulations and best of luck. I look forward to watching the progress of your home as well as your art!!

Hi Gennine, I just found your wonderful very inspiring artwork. I also just moved to Queretaro 5 months ago. I can think of several shops that would LOVE to sell your work. Let me know if you need any help finding things in your new city.
Looks wonderful. Congratulations! Good luck with moving to your new home. Especially with getting used to it. That is actually the toughest part many times.
Regards,
Julie
Geninne.

Looking forward to reading about your sunny adventures especially since I live in the Pacific NW where it rains much of the time.
Congratulations! Wow that video was absolutely breathtaking! - Take me with you! :P I Hope everything falls into place smoothly!
oh! mano de plata!
suerte y buen camino!
un gran abrazo
Queretaro looks very similar to Guanajuato which is just a little more north-west and one of our favourites spots when we visited from Australia. We definitely plan to return to this part of Mexico.
So many adventures you're living !! But why doo you have to move from house to house sooooooooo often ?? Wouldn't love to saty in a house for the last decades of your life ?? I'm curious ! Smooches from Belgium !
Felicidades!!! :)
I just saw this news! Best of luck to you and your wonderfully talented and creative family :) I look forward to watching your new adventure!
