Beautiful! Isn't God's creation awesome. We live close to the water, so my children and I (Israel 5, Areli 7 and Bethany 9) love to collect shells. They sometime do pick up leaves and feathers too - all of which I have been thinking about painting/dying.
Those are beautiful! I pick up all kinds of stuff on my walks with my pups, too. You can see what I do with mine on my studio blog: http://campcactus.blogspot.com
just wanted to say, that you have made my day.. feel so inspired I don't know what to do first paint.. stitch.. what a beautiful blog.. I can't wait to see what you do next x
These are great! I think I might do this as an art project in my class! I'll have to wait a bit longer for the leaves here in SD to turn red and fall....those that do so, anyway. Not many do.
Gennine...you make me crazy~ you find "art" in everything. Sometimes I have trouble getting started...I have ideas...I just can't seem to get there and you are like the "Energizer bunny"!
love that title you always know how to make me smile! Speaking of interventions are you all caught up with lost? I am not hopelessly hooked on madmen. The attention to mid century style details is killing me.
Gennine, this is a great idea !!! Where do you get all these wonderful creative , unusual ideas ? Your blog is definitely my favorite. Love from FRANCE. Virginie
These beautiful little pieces of art remind me of high school... we used to write poems on leaves, and give them to each other. We rubbed them with hand lotion to keep them soft. Thanks for the reminder, maybe I'll try it again. Except Florida doesn't have a lot in the way of fall leaves... :o(
A fabulous idea, really. And yeah, I love autumn too, especially the wonderful colors of leaves. What I hate, though, is what the leaves become after rain. Since I have had trouble with them in my garden since forever, I have actually recently written an article about how to get rid off them. You are welcome to read it.
I am trying to contact you but the link on your website comes up with an error when i send the message. I want to ask you about using your Songbird image. I would be so grateful if you could contact me? at - ruthawhite@hotmail.com thanks, Kind regards Ruth
I love the idea of this for one of our garden club programs. One of our members is an artist and I think if we could come up with a use for these it would be a fun project for our group. what did you do with your leaves after you painted them.
