I found these photos I took of my desk in 1994
while browsing through an old photo album
this morning .
I used to love covering my desk with Kraft paper
and doodle all kinds of things on it.
That year it was a calendar.
I was completely in love with
a box of Prismacolor pencils
my dad had given me on my birthday.
It was around that time I discovered watercolors.
1994 was a great year.

My dad also gave me my first box of Prismacolor pencils. A prized possession. He always had them for coloring his architectural plans (back in the day before computers). Great to remember!

too bad berol doesnt make those prisma pencils anymore... they were much creamier. The sanford ones are somewhat disappointing in comparison.

So fun! I think I received (or bought? - I'm embarrassed that I can't remember!) my first Prismacolor pencils in either '94 or '95, also. I absolutely adored them, and sort of still do. Now, we have a combined collection of mine and my husband's that my daughter uses. I smile when I look at the little stubby ones...sure signs of past favorites.

My dad, too, gave me my first box of Prismacolor pencils... I still love to pull them out and lose myself in the gorgeous way they present their color on paper. It was really fun to come across this post today -- memory central! Also, love the calendar as desktop. Good times. =)

In 1991, my then-boyfriend gave me the same box. I married him. (No flies on me.)
