We are celebratingour son Daniel's 11th birthday today!
He's been asking meto make him a sock monkey all year long,
and I finally made him one yesterday afternoon.
He needs a name, so Daniel would like to ask you
for suggestions.
He will pick one randomly tomorrow morning.

I think he/she looks like a Ninka! I think Ninka is a very mischievous name, and monkeys are definitely mischievous (especially when owned by young boys).

That's a really charming sock monkey your mom made. I love the unique stripes. His scarf brings to mind the name "Checkers." If you're interested at all in U.S. politics (and who isn't these days?), Checkers has an interesting connection to former president Richard Nixon and reminds me of lot of what happened to the Republican vice presidential candidate this time around. Google "Nixon's Checkers speech" to find out more, and to see if you'd want to name your monkey after Nixon's dog!

I think the monkey should be named (I'll spell it by sounding it out) puh-gee-gee (I'd spell it Pahjiji) I must explain that I pick this name because recently I went to Costa Rica (mostly because I wanted to see a monkey in the rain fores)...there was a river that I'm sure I can't remember how to spell but to my recall...I pronounced it something like Pahjiji :)! thus..the monkey needs that name! hope you love it
