Singing bird embroidery

I'm embroidering the series of ink birdies I made last month. This is the first one, made into a pillow.
This has been the most time consuming embroidery project I've done so far
and it was totally worth the time put into it.
I used a single thread in order to have more detail.
The fabric for the pillow is a heavy linen/cotton blend I really love.

Just incredible! I just love those ink drawings; your attention to detail (drawing and embroidery) is amazing.
When I saw the drawings of your birds on flickr, I thought that they would great for embroidering! Beautiful, I love it :)...welcome back.

The bird is beautiful in ink, but no doubt even more beautiful when stitched. I am happy you back again. Look forward to see what you will present us with this fall. Anne Marie
